CRN
From Wise Nano
The Center for Responsible Nanotechnology (CRN) is a small non-profit organization focused on the consequences of molecular manufacturing. They attempt to carry out many functions:
- Technical research
- Education of the public (website, blog)
- Policy research
- Education of policy makers (articles, conversations)
- Shaping the discussion of advanced nanotechnologies to steer between hype, denialism, and panic
- Spinning off projects
CRN was founded two years ago by Chris Phoenix and Mike Treder. It has rapidly become known as a source of information on molecular manufacturing, with articles published in the FAS PIR, talks given on several continents, etc.
Wise-Nano (this site) is a spinoff project of CRN. CRN does not control Wise-Nano; it merely hosts it and contributes to it.
