From Wise Nano

The Center for Responsible Nanotechnology (CRN) is a small non-profit organization focused on the consequences of molecular manufacturing. They attempt to carry out many functions:

  • Technical research
  • Education of the public (website, blog)
  • Policy research
  • Education of policy makers (articles, conversations)
  • Shaping the discussion of advanced nanotechnologies to steer between hype, denialism, and panic
  • Spinning off projects

CRN was founded two years ago by Chris Phoenix and Mike Treder. It has rapidly become known as a source of information on molecular manufacturing, with articles published in the FAS PIR, talks given on several continents, etc.

Wise-Nano (this site) is a spinoff project of CRN. CRN does not control Wise-Nano; it merely hosts it and contributes to it.
